Beer Description
Strong toasted malt dominates the aroma with hints of figs, plums and caramel.
We built this rich, dark lager on a base of German Dark Munich malt and hopped it with Hersbrucker hops. We fermented it with our favorite German lager yeast which happens to originate in a monastery, just outside of Munich, that has brewed dark beers like this since 1455. Strong toasted malt dominates the aroma with hints of figs, plums and caramel. The flavor is full of the same with slight notes of chocolate and sweet malt.
