Expresses the fruit forward native saccharomyces character along with the fruity character of the Muscat grape.
Première is a beer we are quite fond of. It expresses the fruit forward native saccharomyces character better than perhaps any other recipe we brew. When we had the chance to referment this base with some vibrant and exceptional Oregon Muscat grapes, we had to do so. So, we did. A year in oak, and here we are.
Muscat is a very fun grape. It is capable of some profoundly ‘fruity’ character when appropriately coaxed and gently prodded. It can offer a brilliant ‘spice’ as well. Mostly, when done well, there is nothing at all exactly like Muscat. It is definitively ‘Muscat.’ It is singular, and you will know it
