Pairing up citrus hop notes of grapefruit & tangerine w/ a wild yeast profile of banana runts & Dubble Bubble bubble gum.
When our friends at Berkeley Beer Science brought over this new yeast strain they engineered we were really excited to brew with it. Unlike other batches of Altered Yeast we decided to keep the yeast strain going and brewed up a Double IPA to pair with it. Fun Coupons makes the best out of this aggressively ester-driven yeast strain by pairing up citrus hop notes of grapefruit and tangerine with a wild yeast profile of banana runts and Dubble Bubble bubble gum. Pulling all these flavors together in a very light in malt Double IPA creates an arcade of flavor that slams down on your taste buds like a skee-ball sniper. We’re stoked on what these wizards at BBS are able to make classic yeast strains produce and are certainly going to press them for a Twizzler strain next.
