Beer Description
We are bridging New Orleans and Chicago with one of our favorite childhood poets Shel Silverstein. He was born in Chicago and attended gradeschool in Logan Square. In addition to being a writer, he was a prolific musician and played in the Papa Bue’s Danish Viking New Orleans Jazz Band. The beer itself is inspired by bananas foster, a desert invented at Brennan’s Restaurant in 1951 in New Orleans. We use Jarrylo a spicy banana like hop to evoke the bananas, some malto dextrine for body and creaminess, and vanilla to bring it all together.
