Beer Description
This barrel aged brown sugar DIPA was inspired by, and brewed for Bobby Forster, our friend fighting A.L.S., Lou Gehrig’s disease. The name “The Iron Horse”, Lou’s baseball nickname, refers to both their shared determination and winning spirit. Canada pale malt, malted wheat and seven months of barrel aging give Iron Horse a copper hue and a slight oak finish. The addition of Simcoe, Citra & Centennial hops adds orange, grapefruit and nectar fruit flavors while the barrel imparts notes of honey and brown sugar.
