Beer Description
The smash takes its name from the phrase “single malt, single hop.” It is composed of a single malt, this time from Pilsner, and a single hop, namely Polaris, German hops high in alpha acids (21%). The name IPA, which normally offers an amber or red ale, offers us a lager with hints of green. The nose reveals resinous aromas that evoke bluntly pine gum. Mouth, meanwhile, is under attack from a rare aggressiveness that leads into a nagging bitterness behind which tries to break, not without difficulty, a subtle fruity roundness.
