Beer Description
Saint Arnold Fresh Hop 2013 is an IPA brewed with freshly harvested Citra hops that were overnighted to us and then used immediately in the brew. We have to use over five times the amount of fresh hops as we would use dry hops in a recipe. The fresh hops contribute a grassier flavor and softer bitter than the dry hops do.
Fresh Hop 2013 used 420 lbs of fresh Citra hops to produce 67 barrels of beer. Brewer Casey developed a recipe that is balanced while focusing on the hop character. We did not filter this beer.
