Beer Description

Here’s to beers for all and cheers with all!

Our team and our community are made up of a diverse group who come from different places, backgrounds, and experiences. We do everything we can to celebrate the individual and to recognize that we’re all better together. As Pride is more than a month or a festival, we release Friends Of Dorothy throughout the year to celebrate beers for all and cheers with all, all the time.

โ€” โ€” โ€”

Friends Of Dorothy is a beautifully bright 7.3% abv Hazy IPA, featuring an eclectic mix of rotating hops that showcase ingredients from all around the world coming together as one.

โ€” The 2023 National Coming Out Day [Oct. ’23] release showcases Luminosa & HS17701 (a variety of experimental hops). Notes of fresh cut Yuzu, Mango, & Papaya!

โ€” The 2023 Queer Beer Box [June ‘23] limited edition run features Luminosa (whirlpool), Mosaic (dry-hop), &ย HopBurstยฎ Nectaron Hop Oil (dry-hop). Full of brightness, this zestful panoply of papaya, passionfruit, & berry flavors is available to enjoy exclusively in Hop Culture’s 2023 Queer Box starting in July!

โ€” The 2023 Pride Month [April ’23] batch blends Amarillo & El Dorado in the whirlpool with a Strata & Amarillo dry-hop…sweet and juicy, with an ambrosia of fresh cut strawberry & pineapple notes.

โ€” โ€” โ€”

And most importantly: $10 per barrel sold of our Pride IPA benefit Richmond-based non-profit for all: Equality Virginia!

The additional stripes on the can label were added to our standard Pride imagery to highlight a greater inclusivity, with additional black & brown stripes at the top and blue, pink, and white stripes added to the bottom all representing members of our community.

We show pride in who we are. We have pride in what we brew. We have pride for all of you. And we’re proud to do our part to ensure that everyone can live like they’re Friends Of Dorothy with pride.
