Beer Description
Back in 2014, I had this crazy idea to build a beer around this unique German malt. The beer has been brewed in many incarnations since then, some toned down for mass, football season appeal, and some like this batch, for the initiated hop lovers among us. The first whiff of this beer is like my mom opening her cedar hope chest but instead of blankets inside, we just find lots and lots of Centennial hop cones. Cedar, Pine, and a tiny hint of that Mosaic stone fruit roll around in the aroma, smooth cherry and malt hang out in the flavor until an intense pine resin bitterness pushes you into taking another sip.
