For this dark spicy stout, we collaborated with Toast Ale to mark International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, and raise awareness amongst beer drinkers. We’re donating $1 from every 4-pack to Rethink Food NYC, a non-profit tackling food insecurity. Brewed with surplus fresh bread from Bread Alone Bakery. Bread Alone supplied us with Nordic Rye and Einkorn loaves, which lend a spicy earthy note to the malt . Pours light black in color with tan foam. Toasty roasty aromas with a bright tangy cola nut and (ahem) bready malt flavor. Brewed with 20% surplus rye bread, English pale malt and lots of roast barley and chocolate malt. Fermented with American Ale yeast, hopped lightly with Cascade and Crystal hops.
