Tons of oak up front on the nose and on the first sip. Little cherry in the mid-palate from the red wine barrels. Tons of vanilla and bitter tannin from the oak compliment the massive caramel and hop bitterness already present in the Double Bastard Ale. Gigantic, ultra-complex sipping beer.
