HBC 472 is described as having notes of oak/bourbon wood, herbal, vanilla, floral, tropical fruit. This beer is one of seven beers we are releasing in partnership with Yakima Chief Hops using experimental hops in the Elite Trials phase conducted by HBC, the Hop Breeding Company, and supplied through YCH’s Experimental Hop program. Featuring 7 different experimental hop varieties, these are single hop beers brewed identically in terms of ingredients and process, only switching out the hop. This is the first time a finite amount of these hops has been made available to brewers. The feedback we provide will be used to decide if the experimental hop will become a commercialized hop product available to all brewers.
