Beer Description
Sour Black IPA with milk sugar, blackberries, blueberries, dark plums, red cherries, cherry wood smoked sea salt, fresh ground white pepper, and lavender flowers. Hermitage is part of our Vinous Series where we deconstruct the aromas and flavors of famous wine grapes, with a focus on the famous regions they are grown in. For this batch, we were able to dial in and integrate each flavor and aroma to the point where it is all in harmony. The layers of fruits are forward, and each aromatic ingredient is present, but not overpowering the other. The addition of a touch of German smoked malt, in addition to smoked sea salt, give you just a hint of smoke and roastiness.
