Beer Description

Amber Ann Parker Houck was my daughter. She died of lung cancer in 2012, just prior to our opening of Brew Rebellion. Amber was a veteran of the Gulf War and she was exposed to radiation during her time in the middle east. When she came home from the service in 1996, she had signs of illness shared by many veterans known as “Gulf War Syndrome.” Despite her illness, she put her energy into many things including the rescue of unwanted pets. Amber worked tirelessly to find homes for critters all of the way up to the day she died and she made a huge impact on society with both its two legged and four legged members.
We all promised her that we would brew a beer in her honor and we would take a part of the proceeds from sales and support local animal rescue operations in her name. I am proud to say that we have done that ever since we opened and will continue to do more in the future.
This Ale could almost be considered an Imperial Red as it has such a complete taste as a result of the Victory hops used in its production. It is bold in taste just like my daughter, has a huge personality and is best when shared with others in a social setting.
This brew also comes with a free nap after you drink it. Pairs extremely well with a steak and lobster or a big old porterhouse fresh off the grill.
