Baby Carlos, a Strawberry Lemonade Lager with quite the story.
The beer is bright and crisp with a gentle sweetness upfront and pleasant bitterness in the finish. Big aromas of citrus are balanced by the soft, delicate notes of strawberries. This beer is the perfect companion for the warm summer months approaching.
Ok, this is actually a true story. A couple years ago, while at a bachelor party in the bay area, we were in Oakland at Jack London Square waiting to take the ferry into the City. We were all feeling pretty amazing after breakfast burritos and a bloody mary or two. We had been waiting in line for a while and struck up a conversation with a few people in front of us. One guy, and two girls with a stroller. After about 30 minutes one of them tells us that the kid in the stroller isn’t theirs! Uhhhh…what? They said the father of the child had asked them to watch his kid while he went to buy a ticket for the ferry, but he had been gone over 30 minutes! Well, in the moment, we decided that the only appropriate course of action was to adopt this child and give him the life that we know he deserves. Yeah, yeah, we’ll get him to SF Police Department eventually. Right after a quick stop by Cellarmaker Brewing of course. Then, without warning the father reappears in the 11th hour, just minutes before we were set to load onto the ferry. The budding relationship with our son had barely just begun. But we will never lose hope that someday we will be reunited.
