Hops. We absolutely love them. Citrus, Tropical, Dank blossoms of flavor. Whirlpool them, dry-hop with them, double dry-hop with them, triple/quadruple/quintuple dry hop with them. The essential oils that deliver all these awesome flavors are hard to get into the finished beers. Less than 1% of the essential oils contain Thiols. There is a low threshold for smelling Thiols and the leading research says they are extremely important in end flavor/aromas.
Phantasm is a product derived from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc grapes that is super rich in Thiol precursors. This product is in very limited supply, but we managed to get our hands on it! Marry up Phantasm and some of our favorite hops – Hazy, Juice Bomb Heaven.
