Schmoo Whale might be a funny name, but this is serious beer. Fields & Ivy Brewery ages Schmoo Whale, Imperial Stout in used bourbon barrels until the residual boozy, oaky, goodness therein, infuses Schmoo Whale with rich tannins and vanilla highlights.
2021 Bourbon Barrel Aged, Schmoo Whale Imperial Stout was aged in used Union Horse Bourbon barrels and delivers big smooth, malt derived, flavors of dark chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla and warm spirits with a light bitterness and lingering sweet finish.
