Beer Description
Oatmeal, Rum Raisin, Gingerbread, Monster… we’ve shown quite a fondness for brewing with cookies around here. This newest venture on our quest to make the ultimate cookie beer started when a couple of bourbon barrels imparted a strong bourbon character to our Oatmeal Cookie Stout. While delicious on its own, it was just a little on the dry side thanks to the tannins and vanillins in the oak barrels, so we reached for cacao nibs to add back some richness. A pile of toasted almonds helped bridge the gap between sweet chocolate and boozy bourbon, resulting in a truly decadent treat
