Beer Description
Lost at the Source was brewed with a base of extra pale barley malt and softened with large proportions of malted oats and wheat. It drinks with a mellow, medium body with very low perceived bitterness and a juicy, flavorful finish.
We hopped this beer heavily in the whirlpool and then twice more during active fermentation to take advantage of additional aromas and flavors created by biotransformative yeast reactions with inert hop compounds.
Lost at the Source features a “New Zealand Revolution” hop blend consisting of Motueka, Pacific Sunrise, Nelson Sauvin, and Riwaka.
We get notes of passionfruit, bright lime, gooseberry, pink grapefruit, tropical melon, white grape, mango, orange, and lemon.
