Beer Description
A malty, fruity, dryness combines with a subtle funkiness to round out this 8.9% ABV pale strong ale.
Brewed on February 7th 2013 then racked to Cask #13 a 560 gallon Oak Tank. During the year of aging, “Not Shiny or New” developed the classic old ale characteristics of a British brettanomyces fermentation. A malty, fruity, dryness combines with a subtle funkiness to round out this 8.9% ABV pale strong ale. Do not confuse this beer with Barleywine. “Not Shiny or New” is subtle and complex and is all about the interplay of slow aging pale malts and in a large old tank. This beer is a sipper to be enjoyed in small servings.
