Beer Description

HOGAZA is a series of experimental beers made with 100% Puerto Rican bread. The result of this first version is a spectacularly delicious beer with flavors of toasted bread with notes of caramel and honey. The intention of HOGAZA is to raise awareness about the waste of food, where the waste of some becomes raw material for others. Some brewers have already used leftover grains after making bread. However, in the case of HOGAZA it is the other way around, the leftover bread is toasted and incorporated into a mixture of barley grains to turn it into beer or literally liquid bread. This initiative to recycle bread to brew beer is not new, it occurs commercially in countries such as Great Britain, the United States, South Africa, Iceland and Brazil. So if you have fresh bread and you have no use for it, do not throw it away, call us we find good use. Join this REBLution!
