Narrative One Two One Two

We brewed One Two One Two with our friends from Flatland Brewing in Elk Grove. We’re big fans of theirs and have enjoyed drinking their beers since their early days. They brew an amazing CDL and I asked Andrew if he could show us the light and help us brew one at NF. It was awesome to bounce recipe ideas off of him and I’m really stoked on how this turned out. While it is dark, it’s still semitransparent with a dark copper color at the rim with garnet tints. It has a beautiful bready/toast quality with hints of coffee, dark fruits, caramel, and nuts. It has low hop character with just enough bitterness to balance the malt quality and to dry out the finish. With the neutral lager yeast we used, the beer’s complexity comes from the high quality Weyermann malts. The carbonation gives a nice creamy mouthfeel. Na zdravi!
