Narrative Good Moment

This beer was inspired by a homebrew brewed by our good friends Jimmy Quenelle and Michael Loperena. After a long day at the brewery, we stopped by a bonfire at Jimmy’s place on the way home and tried one of their new brews that was a WC IPA using a mix of Mosaic, Sabro, and Vic Secret. It was freaking delicious and I knew I wanted to use that combination at the brewery. We asked them if they’d be up to brew something similar with us and they were all in. Using their recipe as a guide, we made a few tweaks to it to make it more of an NF West Coast style of beer, but the hop combination remained the star of the show. We originally brewed this beer a year ago and liked it so much that we needed to brew it again! It was also a good excuse to have our friends over to the brewery again to brew with us ;) The name of the beer comes from one of the many Jimmy-isms that our good friend is known for. Instead of greeting someone with a “hello” or a “what’s up?”, Jimmy’s greeting has always been “Good Moment”. As for the beer itself, it’s a tropical take on a West Coast. It has a firm bitterness that helps frame the bursting tropical flavors of passionfruit, mango, and pineapple with a bit of dank on the nose and a sticky, resinous quality on the finish.
