Brewed with Phantasm powder and hopped with Cascade, Citra, and Nelson Sauvin. Phantasm powder is made from Sauvignon Blanc grape skins from New Zealand and is rich in thiols. Thiols are organic compounds with strong aromatic compounds reminiscent of citrus, tropical fruit, and white grapes. All flavors which pair well with Nelson Sauvin and Citra. In order to boost thiol precursors, we used whole-flower Cascade hops in the mash. In addition to helping us lauter this sticky grain bill of flaked oats and flaked barley, the flower hops were an homage to our past as brewery who exclusively used whole-flower hops. This tropical IPA jumps with notes of guava, white grape, gooseberry and bright pine sap.
