Unlike its American barleywine counterparts that showcase their hop character, this English-style barleywine highlights a complex malt profile. Small Batch Series No. 8 pours a rich, deep brown and features notes of caramel, toffee, ripe fruit, and leather. It’s strong and complex with a soft background of spice giving depth to the malt flavors and providing an overall balance.
