Beer Description
This event will take place on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 at 7 pm Eastern.
Join beer writer David Nilsen as he guides us through a 90-minute virtual tasting of Belgian golden ale styles, including Saison, Tripel, IPA and Strong Ale in this toast to “Belgian Gold”! The tasting will include 4 beers brewed in Belgium (Delirium Tremens 16.9 oz, Houblon Chouffe 11.2 oz, Saison Dupont 16.9 oz, and Westmalle Tripel 16 oz), and one each brewed faithfully in the Belgian tradition in the USA (Jolly Pumpkin Oro 16 oz) and Canada (La Fin Du Monde 12 oz).
David will explain the history behind each and the ingredients and processes that make them unique. Along the way, we’ll learn about the history and modern variety of these styles and how best to taste and enjoy them.
