Named after the largest tree in the world (by volume) that can be seen poking its head above the Giant Forest in California’s Sequoia National Park, General Sherman is a beer that commands attention.

Whether you are a seasoned hop-head or just looking to branch out into classic bitter IPAs, General Sherman is a must-try.

This heady beer was brewed with a blend of pale and Pilsner malts along with a touch of light crystal and flaked barley. It was hopped early and often (mash, kettle, and fermenter) with a blend of Cascade, BRU-1, and Sequoia hops.

You can expect a medium-bodied, golden ale with bold bitterness, intense hop flavor, and a long, dry, hop-accented finish.

We get notes of bright citrus (pink grapefruit, tangerine peel, lime zest), freshly cut pineapple, piney spice, pungent forest air, and undertones of tropical mango.
