Beer Description
Several years ago, Bellwood’s brewed a run of lagers (Biergarten, Mexican, Autobahn) that were built on the same base recipe, but featured different Escarpment Labs yeasts. It allowed them to learn the nuances between different strains, and hone their lager-making processes. Isar Pilsner is their latest 2023 offering, and utilizes the namesake yeast from Escarpment. They’ve minimized the dry-hop to allow the yeast to really shine, and the result is a crisp, slightly bitter, delightful lager.
