Beer Description
Collaborations surrounding sporting events are always fun unless you root for the A’s, in which case you steer clear no matter how bad the other team is. Our friends at Common Bond out in Alabama came up with the idea to brew a beer for their Auburn Tigers,traveling 2,500 miles to face our CAL Bears. While we are hopeful for a Berkeley upset, we are resting easy knowing the real winner is Westcoast IPA. A mutual love for non-traditional low IBU and high aromatic Westcoast IPA brought us together to celebrate in the form of light malt character, moderate bitterness, and loads of Mosaic, Strata, and Idaho7. Tigers & Bears drinks super-crisp and clean but also doesn’t hold back with its super-saturation of notes dripping in ruby red grapefruit juice, blueberry skins, passion fruit, honeydew melon, white wine grapes, raspberry jello, papaya, and those strawberry hard candies no one would take from grandma’s candy dish.
