Beer Description
A base of British pale malt supplemented by crystal malts, biscuit malt, and a touch of roasted barley is exclusively met with East Kent Golding hops from the United Kingdom to give it that classic and expected earthy, herbal hop character and bitterness.
On September 6, 1781 British forces led by Brigadier General Benedict Arnold (Traitor from Norwich, CT) burned down our beautiful city of New London as part of the battle of Groton Heights, a Revolution battle fought against a small CT militia force led by Colonel William Ledyard… Well we decided we aren’t over it, we are Still Bitter. In honor of this great tragedy and point of local historical significance, we created this Extra Special Bitter Ale, a classic English style beer. A base of British pale malt supplemented by crystal malts, biscuit malt, and a touch of roasted barley is exclusively met with East Kent Golding hops from the United Kingdom to give it that classic and expected earthy, herbal hop character and bitterness.
