Beer Description

Appearance – The beer is served a brownish amber color with a tiny head of off-white foam. The head fades fast leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a toasted malty bread smell mixed with lots of brown sugar, molasses and caramel. Along with these aromas comes notes of a nut smell as well as some light hop aromas.
Taste – The taste is as one may expect from the nose. It has a toasted bready base, giving it a big malt presence. At the same time there is a good level of sweetness with a decent showing of caramel and brown sugar, as well as some flavors of pear and apple. As the taste advances the roasted flavors and sweet get even stronger, leaving one with a heavy malty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is heavy and thick for a 6.1 % brew with a lower carbonation level, both of which are appropriate for the style and the tastes.
