Beer Description
When we decided to bring some So Cal love with us up to San Francisco Beer Week this year, teaming up with Societe Brewing Company in San Diego was a no brainer. We settled on brewing up a BIG Pale Ale, and in the process stretched the style so far beyond its limits that we decided to call it something else entirely. We present a San Diego Style Pale Ale. It is light bodied, crisp and drinkable- but assertively hop forward at the same time. We loaded it up with Simcoe, Centennial and Idaho 7 hops and were rewarded with a cloud of pink grapefruit, bitter orange, pine, and fresh herbs that lingers above the glass. In the sip, supporting notes of berries, melon and citrus hold on into the clean finish that just disappears on you, and pulls you back in for more.
