An annual tradition in celebration The Virginia Beer Company’s anniversary, each March our brewers unveil a limited selection of barrel-aged Waypost variants.
Waypost (a marker to note one’s progress along the path forward) is an Imperial Milk Stout. Dark, rich, and creamy, the 2024 vintages of this recipe have been aged in Knob Creek Bourbon Whiskey Barrels.
To celebrate 8 years, we are proud to unveil two limited Bourbon Barrel-Aged Waypost offerings:
Waypost Neat [12.4%] It’s not an anniversary celebration without an Imperial Milk Stout aged in freshly emptied Bourbon Barrels. Our classic anniversary ale returns, with Knob Creek barrels imparting bold sweetness and spicy woody notes to Waypost.
