Foam The Minus Times: Mexican Style Dark Lager

Continuing our exploration into the world’s many styles of lagers, this is our first ever Mexican Style lager in cans. The malt bill for this beer consisted of German pils, Vienna malts, local flaked corn, and a touch of chocolate malt to add a roasty quality to this beer. In the boil, we used German Magnum and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops, and finally fermented it with a Mexican lager yeast. A clean, dark chocolatey aroma can be found up front, followed by toasty malt flavors fading into a German hop bitterness on the finish.
