Beer Description
Headlands is extremely excited to announce our very latest and very special Lager, Haná Munich Helles. Admiral and Crisp Maltings partnered to create a malt base for our Helles Lager utilizing the Haná barley varietal used to create the very first Pilsner beer in Pilsen. We’re very grateful to these maltsters for including us in this very special project which led to Haná Helles!
Haná pours light gold with straw highlights, a white head, and a subtle touch of haze. Fresh biscuit and crust notes are prominent on the nose with little hints of raspberry and pear. A light crisp body with softer carbonation and smooth mouthfeel leads into a bright finish with low bitterness. The palate features similar fresh biscuit malt character with Bosc pear notes, a hint of lemongrass, and mild but present bitterness. Prost!
