Beer Description
Village of Thoughts – 5.4% Hazy Pale Ale Collaboration with Concrete Blues. We brewed this lovely hazy collab with Al from Concrete Blues. Given Al’s passion and talent for British-Style pub beers, we assumed he was going to ask to make a nice ESB or Mild or something. We were a bit surprised when Al was like, “how about a bright yellow American Pale Ale with some fun hops?!” Village of Thoughts turned out to be one of our favourite hazy hoppy beers we’ve done in quite a while 🙂
We mashed in barley, wheat, and oats, and hopped and dry hopped it with tons of Simcoe and Amarillo. It pours a like glowing golden wheat field, with a creamy white head, and explodes with hoppy notes of Sumo Mandarin, apricot compote, guava pink lemonade, tropical apple flavors, and well sugared Ruby Red Grapefruit.
