War Horse Hazleton Hero

Gramps “Big Mike” Mihalov, was born in 1925 in Hazleton Pa, the youngest of 12 to Slovakian immigrant parents. Gramps was tall, handsome, and had a smile and vintage turn of phrase that would make you feel like you were his best friend. Gramps was a heck of a storyteller, and he had a deep well from which to draw. Stories of his early life in a coal town, his time in the Navy during WWII, his time at college, meeting his dream girl, marrying her and starting a family, packing them up to move over and over, and finally ending up in Rahhhchester NY. Any time Gramps would tell stories, his favorite local lager seemed to make an appearance. The beer was a little liquid time capsule that held all kinds of beautiful memories. Our brewery was built with the hope that whenever you enjoy a pint of War Horse, we find our way into your time capsule, remembering when you came to visit our brewery, at Three Brothers, in the heart of the Finger Lakes.
