Headlands Haná Helles

Admiral Maltings and Crisp Malt partnered to revive and floor-malt a heritage barley varietal which we’re thrilled to utilize for our Helles Lager. This landrace varietal was originally grown in the Haná valley in the Czech Republic and was used to create the very first Pilsner beers back in 1842. Our Haná Helles Lager pours a crystal clear light gold hue with straw highlights. Fresh biscuit and crust notes are prominent on the nose with hints of raspberry and Bosc pear. A light crisp body with medium carbonation leads to a bright finish with low bitterness. The palate features similar fresh cracker malt character, a hint of lemongrass, and mild but present bitterness.
