Beer Description
This IPA is not for the weak of heart. It’s a big, bold, in-your-face HOP EXPLOSION. Ring Dog features Santiam hops, a cross between 1/3 German Tettnanger, 1/3 Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, and 1/3 tetrapoild USDA Male. Santiam stays true to its German heritage by exhibiting a lingering spice – not heat, just spice. As Santiam was cultivated in Corvallis, Oregon, we decided to name this IPA after the logging industry. A “ring dog” is a hook attached to a wooden handle that is used to roll logs. The additions of Cascade and Horizon hops give the beer a bit of a citrus kick, and the Simcoe pushes the pine. You’ll taste plenty of hops but not an overwhelming bitterness.
