Beer Description
When the Calagione’s of Dogfish Head and the Grossman’s of Sierra Nevada got together in 2009 to collaborate on Life and Limb, a celebration of two family-run breweries, it set in stone a relationship which is still going strong today. Peach, Love, and Understanding is the latest collaboration between these kindred brewing spirits. Brewed here at our Rehoboth Beach Pub, Sam and Brian Grossman got together to come up with a tasty sessionable black lager, an American Schwarzbier of sorts, brewed with grilled peaches sourced locally from our respective breweries in Delaware and North Carolina. The result is a an easy drinking yet complex brew, with earthy notes from debittered dark malts, notes of smoke and ash from our wood-fired grill, and subtle hints of stone fruit and acidity from the peaches. Deep black in color, this beer surprises and confounds with each mouthful. The perfect sipper for enjoying the cool early Fall weather as the leaves start to turn, providing all who imbibe with a lil taste of Peach, Love, and Understanding.
