Beer Description

Traditonally, cream ales are made using flaked maize but we felt our Southern staple needed it’s own charm.

The Gullah cream ale is a beer truly born in the South. Revelry took the classic “lawnmower” beer and turned it into something quintessentially Southern by using South Carolina grits (15% of the total grist) from Adluh in Columbia and Geechie Boy on Wadmalaw Island. The Gullah cream ale is made in the traditional style with a low and slow fermentation for reduced esters from the ale yeast and is then lagered for 4 weeks prior to packaging. The beer style is often referred to as a “poor man’s lager” for it’s crisp drinkability with a clean fermentation profile and a moderate hop profile using Mt. Hood. This is a great beer for any circumstance.
