Beer Description
Crisscrossed with streams and rivers and bordered east and west by the mighty Missouri and Mississippi, Iowa knows a thing or two about high water. This beer is made with the bounty of the Midwest and a twist of Great Britain. We combine Golden Promise malt, Midwestern two-row barley malt, Special B, three varieties of dark barley malt and roasted barley, plus a whopping 125 pounds of rolled oats to give it a smooth, creamy mouth feel.
Then we call in our friends from the U.K., including Scottish ale yeast to drive the fermentation, English Fuggles hops to lead the bittering and English East Kent Goldings. Put it all together and High Water becomes a dark treat on a cold winter evening.
