Beer Description
Brewed with a blend of slowly roasted imported brown & black malts, this bock is exceptionally bold, balanced w/ just a hint of Saaz and East Kent Golding hops.
Lenten Black Bock is our interpretation of the famous Lenten “liquid bread” brewed by the Paulaner friars as far back as 1627. These German friars swore off all food save for bread, water and this beer (“Fastenbier”) for the 40 days of Lent.
