It is traditionally clear with a bright, straw-yellow hue, has a prominent but not extreme hoppiness, and is less bitter than the standard German pale lager.
Kölsch (pronounced koelsch) a local specialty beer brewed in Cologne, Germany.
Dirtbag Ales is proud to present an innovative approach to a time honored brew. “The Kölsch” pairs the finest ingredients with traditional brewing techniques and our own Dirtbag spin to bring to life and body to a refreshing, citrus infused masterpiece. The Kölsch starts with a pronounced citrus note provided by blood oranges that finishes with a hint of raspberry. A perfect balance of hops and malt that is assertive, but not overpowering, great for enjoying by itself or with a meal.
