Beer Description

Sawhorse starts its life with a complex grain bill consisting of heaps of rye malt and littered with other English specialty malts in controlled amounts to accentuate the earthy/nutty/spicy/flavorful nature of rye. To compliment all of those flavors that rye produces, we chose to add copious amounts of Chinook and Simcoe hops to provide as much pine and resinous character as possible. The massive hop aroma plays in perfect harmony with the rye, eventuating many of its attributes, instead of covering it all up. As the big upfront wafts of pine and rye dissipate, you’ll find that Sawhorse finishes with a really nice biscuit flavor along with grapefruit and citrus aromas.
