About the brewery

“The Farmers’ Cabinet,” is taken from an old agriculture handbook that was published monthly in the mid-1800s. The entire name of the publication was “The Farmers’ Cabinet: an American Herd-Book devoted to Agriculture, Horticulture and Rural and Domestic Affairs.” It was once published at 50 North 4th St. (between Market and Arch Streets) by Josiah Tatum. Philadelphia is not the only city that published such a handbook under this name. History tells us that Massachusetts did as well and titled it “Farmer’s Cabinet.” The premise remains the same.
