About the brewery
The production of beer of the Abbey of Alder experienced many ups and downs associated with historical events or economic developments. In the Middle Ages, Alder already brewed two beers: one good density was reserved for fathers and the other called ‘small beer’ was offered to lay the poor and seek their food from the gatehouse.
