About this Event

If you’re reading this, you know how rewarding the simple act of getting together with old friends over beer is.
With that in mind, we’re getting together with a couple familiar faces- Triple Rock Brewery -Berkeley, Drake’s Brewing in San Leandro, and their weird nephew Faction Brewing out of Alameda. We’ll be sitting down together with a flight of double IPAs, and we’re inviting you!

Faction Brewing, Hop Soup 8.5% Hops: Brewed with 10 Different Varieties of Hops! Aromas of honey drizzled citrus, ripe tangerine, mango and pine. Full bodied, with soft carbonation and mild, integrated bitterness. Big flavors of orange citrus, pine, peach and mango. Overall, big and flavorful. Hops: Galaxy, Simcoe, Citra with smaller additions of CTZ, Summit, Calypso, El Dorado, Apollo, Centennial & Horizon. IBU:75

Triple Rock Brewery, Hop Salad(Bronze Medal Winner @ 2014 Bistro Double IPA Fest-and a knowledgeable source had this finishing 4th this year and their pick for first), about which Triple Rock head brewer Jeff Kimpe has this to say: “That was me high-fiving you in the mouth with these hops,Start with 2-row barley and a little Munich malt. Grab some Cascade, Simcoe, Citra, Amarillo and just a pinch of Columbus. Oh and one very important ingredient, Galaxy. Start Tossin! No Salad dressing needed. 9.6% 81 Ibu’s. which will promise to make this a citrus experience.

Drake’s Brewing made Hop Sandwich On Rye 8.8% 81IBU, brewed with spicy rye and stuffed full of Citra, Amarillo, and El Dorado hops.
All three are double IPAs, and all three will be available for this event.
*But what would a great Blue Plate Hop Special be without an awesome Dessert: NITRO Chocolate Milk Stout from Faction Brewing. A chocolate stout brewed with Tcho Cocoa nibs & lactose sugar. Served on nitro.

Also Today’s Special: Oak Barrel Fermented Hopocalypse Double IPA

Try the beers and hang out with the mad fermentologists behind these brews-
-Will of Drake’s
-Roger Davis of Faction
-Jeff Kimpe of Triple Rock
