About this Event

Left Foot Charley is a small urban winery and cidery in Traverse City, Michigan. Founded by Jen and Bryan Ulbrich in 2004 after a long stint with Peninsula Cellars, they have since teamed up with some of Northern Michigan’s best grape and apple growers to craft wines and ciders focused on traditional methods, site specificity and varietal character.

While a winery from the start, Bryan has always had a passion for cider and recently turned his attention to cider making in a big way. Through it he seeks to explore the tradition of American ciders, emphasizing heirloom varieties characterized by high acid and thick, tannic skins, to render crisp and refreshing cuveés. Each cider he produces only in small batches.

Join Bryan this evening at Wassail. He’ll be pouring two of his ciders which are listed below.

Relic
Dry, heirloom cider fermented with Winesap, Baldwin, Rhode Island Greening, Jonathan, and Hubardston Nonesuch apples grown throughout Northern Michigan.

Cinnamon Girl
Fermented with Northern Spy, Golden Delicious and Ida Red varieties and then aged with Korjinte and Vietnamese Cinnamon for a slightly exotic characteristic.

All are welcome to this (21+) pay-as-you-go event.
