About this Event

The 2nd Annual Berwyn Brew Fest will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fest will feature over 40 unique beers from craft breweries around the country as well as live music and food from some of Berwyn’s favorite restaurants. Expand your palate while getting back to nature. The fest will take place at Proksa Park, situated just blocks from the Depot District. Free parking is available along the BNSF Metra tracks and fees will be waived in the Depot District Parking Facility at 3320 S Grove Ave on the day of the event. Or you can simplify; take the train and walk! Tickets are $31 pre-sale or $40 at the gate and include admission, sampling from 40 craft beers, commemorative festival sampling glass and program guide. Designated driver tickets are also available for $10. The event will focus on Fall seasonal brews from around Illinois and the country. Some of the breweries will bring along small-batch one-off brews available on a limited basis for those looking for a truly exclusive quaff. A few notable brews include Midwest Brewers Festival Medalist “The Creature” from Urban Legend as well as local brews from Berwyn’s own FlapJack Brewery and Chicago’s Goose Island and Half Acre. The festival will also feature local eateries, including hand-crafted, authentic Mexican from El Meson, “Chicago’s Best” barbecue from Cigars and Stripes BBQ Lounge, and delicious pizza from Trattoria 225 in Oak Park. A live music stage will showcase popular Chicagoland artists, including blues from The Revue, original punk-hearted folk from Dirty Green and roots rock from Cannonball. Jeff Janda, Berwyn Park District Executive Director, commented, “We welcome everyone from beer novices to enthusiasts to enjoy an afternoon in Proksa Park, one of our local gems. Visitors will enjoy the unique experience of sampling not-your-average beers in a laid-back festival atmosphere.” This event is brought to you in part by the generous sponsorship of local businesses including Adolf Funeral Home, Byline Bank, Paisans Pizzeria & Bar, and Cigars and Stripes BBQ Lounge.
